VCM TALKS GOES LIVE: Miami Swim Week 2022
We sat down with these women and discussed all things art, entrepreneurship, and sustainability. From talking about what inspires them and how they got to where they are today to what sustainability means to them, we got down to the nitty-gritty of all things entrepreneurship with the main takeaway of the importance of going by your own path and sticking to what you believe in.
VCREATIVE Miami was right in the action as we partner with the wonder woman initiative for metanoia: the crowned mind event. let’s recap!
The Kimpton angler’s hotel rooftop was buzzing with people who were ready to take in a show. There was an array of designers showing off their latest swim collections that were not only beautifully designed but empowered women to love and embrace their bodies. As the event rolled on so did the stormy weather approaching but there was no stopping us!
It was time for VCM’s panel discussion featuring Tayo Ishola, Gianna Dunand, & Marsha Elle. All of these women paved their own way to their respected industries. Tayo who owns her own swimwear brand and amplifies female voices through the wonder woman initiative, Gianna who wanted to play an important role in stopping fast fashion by creating her own clothing brand, and Marsha who represents disability inclusion and is making amazing strides in the modeling industry.
The inspiration didn’t stop there... Following our panel, we got a visual presentation down the runway by Vairy Vintage, Sol to Soul Co., and ARYÈA KOLUBAH & CO. we were inspired by unique swimwear designs, carefully selected vintage thrifted pieces, and couture silhouettes. Take a peek below:
We’re so grateful to have the community that we do and to have been a part of MSW 2022, we can’t wait to see what’s in store next year!

After a short break filled with mingling and small biz shopping, we began the VCM Panel.
An honest and transparent conversation about entrepreneurship and all that comes with being one. Thank you to Renata Bresciani, Safia Cava, Dwanita Fields for your incredible and insightful conversations.

Miami Swim Week 2021 Recap
Miami Swim Week is a multi-day fashion fair composed of a dynamic calendar that includes experiential events, leading trade shows, and satellite programs that support emerging and independent designers. This year, VCREATIVE Miami attended Miami Swim Week and brought two of our clients along for the ride - a fabulous (and hectic) weekend it was!
Miami Swim Week is known to be chaotic, filled with great energy at breathtaking shows. As one of the biggest events in Miami that happens every summer, we knew that this would be a great opportunity for our clients to connect with the Miami community. Networking was definitely a big priority as well as making sure everything ran smoothly for both of our clients.
DISGO, a social platform that makes it easy to plan + book events while connecting you with cool experiences and people sponsored PARAISO Miami Beach, one of the largest event producers for MSW. From a Boohoo Versace Mansion Party to Sports Illustrated Runway Show, the views were truly spectacular.
Because we were representing our clients, we were able to network and use the amazing opportunities given by attending these huge shows to leverage that. From this weekend alone we were able to gain more followers on Instagram and overall a larger group of eyes to the DISGO app in general.
SWAY, a natural energy drink with your daily dose of vitamins, sponsored Back To Eden, an event organized by The Wonder Woman Initiative. The Wonder Woman Initiative gives the spotlight to women breaking grounds within their communities. Through the curation of unique events and fashion shows, the goal is to amplify their voices in a unique yet impactful way.
To get people excited for SWAY, the team went around to the guests and offered for them to try the energy drink to record their first impression on camera. We had multiple people say they were surprised that it wasn’t too sweet, yet it was still so tasty! It was lovely seeing such wonderful feedback at these events.
During the Back To Eden event, there were short inspirational speeches in between each brand runway. VCM founder Vania Portilla gave a 5 minute speech that included a brief but powerful message about leading with intention and learning how to step into our own power and intuition.
Overall, MIAMI SWIM WEEK 2021 was absolute success and we want to share with you our tips on event planning!
How to sponsor a local event: plan very far ahead, find an event that suits your size of company and budget, ideal audience is of course key, what’s in it for them to relate to you.
Running your own event: add value to your community, entertain the audience with fun activities/performances and connect every detail of the event to what you are selling.
Networking & collaborating: engaging with your community is so important! A great way to do this is by getting sponsors, goodie bags, speakers, etc.
We hope you enjoyed our recap and found some helpful advice with our tips. Make sure to follow us on Instagram for more fun events like these!
MAV Yachts: VIP Yachts Social
A few weeks ago, we worked with MAV Yachts to help them host a VIP Yacht Social. Our goal with this event was to have the guests experience MAV’s exceptional services in only a few hours — and boy, was it a success!

Conscious Entrepreneur: Panel + Workshop
A couple of weeks ago, we partnered up with Cada Consult to host the conscious entrepreneur: panel + workshop at MINDS Co/Work. The mission behind this event was to open up the space for connection and empowering conversations within our community of local entrepreneurs and creatives. And boy was it was an incredible evening!
In case you couldn’t make it, here’s what you missed:
The event began with Founder of Cada Consult, Julianna Mejia, chatting and asking questions to Erica Groussman, Co-Founder of Truwomen, plant fueled nutritional bars, Maria Botero, Founder Mama Jungle and wellness influencer, and Marivette Navarrete, Founder of the Mujerista, a media platform focused on empowering the voices of Hispanic and Latin American women. They discussed the importance of mindfulness in business and how it is directly correlated to being a successful entrepreneur. A huge thank you to our panelists for being so open and sharing their inspiring stories with us.
The panel was followed by a quick workshop led by our Founder, Vania Portilla. Starting off with some clearing breaths, she paired everyone up to discuss their purpose, challenges, and successes with one another. We reflected, we connected and we laughed!
Overall, it was a huge success. We are so grateful to be able to bring our community together to keep each other motivated and empowered. Thank you again to Cada Consult, MINDS Co/Work, all the sponsors and of course, you guys for making it all possible! Check out the images + the recap video below.

Sweat + Reset: Mind, Body, and Soul
Without a tight-knit group of people whom you can grow, learn and build with, starting or running a business can get a little dull. This is why we decided to host our first official event earlier this month (yay!). We wanted to bring together our community offline and IRL (in real life), so we partnered up with Innerride Wynwood to make it happen!
Our mission with sweat + reset: mind, body & soul was to create a space where our community of creatives and entrepreneurs can come together to cultivate mindfulness and meaningful relationships while getting a good workout in.
We started off the morning with an upbeat pilates workout led by our amazing instructor, Laura Esquea, that made everyone break a sweat. We transitioned into a vinyasa flow led by Victoria Candela followed by an activating guided meditation and sound healing session. Yes, it was as delicious as it sounds.
After our workout, Sproutz came through and provided some tasty (seriously, amazing) vegan and vegetarian bites. By the way, Sproutz will be opening up a new location in Brickell fall 2019 and we couldn’t be more excited! Party Patch offered a chlorella and mint detox drink and FITMIAMI raffled tickets to their anticipated health festival coming in early 2020. We'll mingle, connect and enjoy the post-workout high together.
What we didn’t anticipate was the category 4 hurricane that was projected to hit Miami earlier that week. Fortunately for South Florida, it missed us. However, our neighbors in the Bahamas were hit hard. So we felt it was only right to donate all of the event proceeds to the Bahamas Disaster Relief. We were able to raise $210 for Global Empowerment Mission; shout out to them for all their efforts in helping the Bahamas. Again, thank you to all the guests and sponsors who helped us make this happen.
All in all, our first event was a total success and we are still trying to process it all. We had a full house at Innerride Wynwood and couldn’t be more thankful to each and every person that participated. The best part was that everyone really seemed to resonate with the message and purpose of the event and that’s what it’s truly all about! Through resetting and aligning our mind, body, and soul, we are bringing clarity and high vibes for ourselves and our business.
